Closure Day Rehearsal. All in All, goodluck for Monday. (: I'm putting a lot of faith on you guys. Sec 2s, you guys can do it. Despite today's hectic and erratic confusion, I hope everyone remembered what we told you. The performers determine their performances, but you guys determine the event. Whether its a success; whether everything runs smoothly and flows through or not. How fast you guys act will determine the duration of the event and the waiting time for the audiences to anticipate the next item. Remember, ASK if you guys are not sure of anything. ASK YOUR SENIORS. (: I/Cs and Mentors will be there. A good communication between all the sides is vital. Remember that. Well, I'm ending it here. I would like to clarify that we view assembly duties as part of our job scope, so this regards school event. Now, I will talk about how this actually denies our members of what they should have. Infocomn club has been, and will be a crucial part of the school and handling of school events. Without us, the event would come to a halt. We toil and work for the school yet we do not receive what we rightfully deserve. The Performing Arts groups, National Cadet Corps marshal duties, all get their fair share of CIP hours. In their continuing efforts to encourage students to be innovative and creative in Digital Music, MusicTEC is organising an online Inter-School Digital Composition Competition (DMC2) for Primary and Secondary school students, as a "post-exam" activity in October. 2. Objective of this competition is to: a) Provide students another platform to use digital technology in music composition. b) Promote Innovation and Creativity in the arts. c) Encourage student teamwork through music. 3) Competition Procedures. TEACHERS' DAY PERFORMANCE

Hey, You guys did an excellent job for the performance. The peps down for PA duty improved tremendously as compared to the previous rehearsals :) Your exex-Vice President, Jonathan, would like to tell the PA crew that you guys did splendid. He was really glad that the performance was really great and though there were cockups here and there, it was still good. He could see the effort put in. However, as the PA crew, we need to pay extra details such as remembering to mute the DVD player while preparing tracks and making sure that the right track is being played. This is in relation with the wrong track played during 302's last performance. As for Mr Eric Tan's microphone, I would like to apologize for not giving immediate aid. As I was situated at the laptop and there were tons of people (including Mrs B. Lim) sitting in front of me, I had to reroute to reach him, thus leading to the delay. My crew which consisted of all Sec ones, lacked experience and thus were not daring enou

Hey. Today's rehearsal did not run through as well as expected and I believe we can do better. I would like to thank the following people for the hard work they put in and I think they deserve full recognition for what they did for the rehearsal: 1. Bing Quan Thank you for behaving. You were the only person who stayed at his allocated station. You listened to the instructions given, you executed them, and you never complained despite the many hiccups, changes and long waiting duration. You took initiative to coil the wires between performances and packed the equipment. You have done well and keep up the good work. 2. Eveline Thank you for volunteering your services. Your help was greatly needed and appreciated due to the shortage of manpower backstage. And many thanks for finding my bag :) 3. NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SINGAPORE'S PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION FOR YOUTHS SPOT & SHOOT 2008: FEAST ON THE PAST! The National Museum of Singapore returns with Spot & Shoot 2008: Feast on the Past! this October 2008. Held in conjunction with the museum's Season of Photography, the programme is targeted at youths aged 15-30 years old and is divided into 3 segments: photography talks, a photography competition and a winners' showcase at the museum. The photography competition for the youths aims to bring focus to hidden and known facts of Singapore's significant past via photography. Telling interesting stories of the past through photographs, the programme focuses on general Singapore history and local food culture and history. Internal Reshuffle Draft

In response to the current addition of a new EXCO member, the Executive and Administrative Department(EAD) has come up with a internal reshuffle of the current departmental structure. Low Zheng Da will now join the EAD as the Head of Publicity. A new department, Welfare and Discipline will be overseeing internal welfare and discipline matters in response to the current situation. Annabel Woo will now join the Information and Resource Department (IRD) as the Head of Department and Yeo Jun Wei will rise up to join the PA and Media Department (PAMD) as the Head of Department. Also in line with the school's strategic direction in Realising student character, talent and leadership, the EAD has identified several Secondary 2 Infocomm Club members to join as Departmental Members under the new Internal Reshuffle Draft. The positions of the current Secondary 2 Departmental Members are not permanent and the EAD reserves all rights to expel any members if their performance is not satisfactory

InfocommClub Mass Video Production

The Executive and Administrative Department(EAD) have plans to acquire new video equipments as part of the Infocomm Club protocol. After the acquirement of new equipments, we will be embarking on a mass video production, probably a 2hr to 3hr movie that is up to industry standards before the current mangaing committees end our term of service. We will likely be getting support from the Media Development Authority(MDA) and the possibility of the movie being likely to be shown in the big screens in the local scene. Jobs available may include Producers, Production Managers, Unit Manager, Production Coordinator, Post Production Supervisor, Director, First Assistant Director, Second Assistant Director, Production Assistant, Script Supervisor, Stunt Coordinator, Production Designer, Art Director, Assistant art director, Set Designer, Illustrator and many more. More details of it will be disclosed later after more rounds of planning and confirmation.

First of its kind in the Singapore school scene, the Nan Hua Infocomm Club will be embarking on a total identity programme to create the Club identity, a sense of belonging and forging closer bonds. The InfocommGear™ is a one of the unique concepts crafted by the Executive and Administrative Department (EAD) to fufil the mission of the programme. All Infocomm Club members are strongly encouraged to design your own InfocommGear™. The battle for the first of its kind InfocommGear™ is now OPEN! The best designs will be compiled and may be modified or edited by the Executive and Administrative Department (EAD) before finalising on the final product. All members are encouraged to indicate what type of gears they would like to see in the InfocommGear™ and design it. All entries are to be submitted to James by 28 August 2008 and late entries will only be accepted in the discretion of the Executive and Administrative Department (EAD). National Day Competition!!

yo ppl =) all of you should have known by now that there's a National Day competition organise by us[with Mrs Lim L.S] =) so come support our competition kaes!! it's compulsory for all members. DETAILS: Singapore’s national day is celebrated in commemoration of Singapore’s independence. Over the years, national day has not only become a day where we celebrate our ancestors’ hard work in building this nation but also to create a nation identity among Singaporeans. To promote a sense of belonging and identity among Singaporeans and the spirit of national day, and at the same time, promoting photography, this competition provides all of you with a platform to show our feelings towards our nation through digital images. RULES: 1) This competition is open to all lower and upper secondary students in NanHuaHigh. Participants can submit either individual or group entries. There will be a compulsory PA training on Wednesday (23rd July) for the club members. :D This session is mainly targeting the lower secondary members who seemed to have some unfamilarity here and there during Thursday assembly with the equipments and also to improve their backstage coordination with the PA room ppl. It starts from 2.15pm to 5pm. Good behavior grants an earlier release. (: Spread this to other Infocomm members who didn't come on last thursday. :D
