We are pleased to inform you of the launch of this year’s ALICE-in-Action Challenge – a competition that introduces students to the concepts of computer programming in a new and engaging manner. ALICE-in-Action is an Information Technology (IT) challenge, jointly organised by the Temasek Polytechnic Informatics & IT School and the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore. This is a national competition open to all secondary school students. ALICE is a simple-to-use tool that familiarises students with programming concepts in a fun and interactive manner. We would like to invite your students to participate in this competition and demonstrate their talent for programming. The theme for this year’s challenge is ‘Storytelling through Animation’ . Students are required to develop an interactive animation to tell a story. The animation should be interesting, entertaining and engaging. This competition is part of the National Infocomm Competition

Pls br reminded dat there is club session on the 18th of June, from 10am to 2pm. For SGCC participants, there are workshops on the 14th and 15th at nanyang poly (meet at yio chu kang mrt at around 8.30am-9.00am) from 9am to 5pm. You might want to bring along thumbdrives etc to store the game files that you make there.

Pls be reminded that there will be a meeting for those who are involved in the cyberwellness project on 10/6/2010 , this thursday, from 10am to latest 4pm, at comp lab 2. Attire will be club tee/pe /uniform . Pls be punctual and bring thumbdrives along in the event that you have to copy files home.
