RE: Giving CIP hours when students handle school events

This proposal is regarding the idea of giving CIP hours when students handle school events. I would like to clarify that we view assembly duties as part of our job scope, so this regards school event.

Now, I will talk about how this actually denies our members of what they should have.
Infocomn club has been, and will be a crucial part of the school and handling of school events. Without us, the event would come to a halt. We toil and work for the school yet we do not receive what we rightfully deserve. The Performing Arts groups, National Cadet Corps marshal duties, all get their fair share of CIP hours. Yet we do not. Our members work, thinking that the school cares for our help.

If I may use an analogy, it’s like you worked hard for your boss and earned a lot of money for the company. However, he then gives you nothing, not a pay rise nor even a pat on the back. Singapore is a democratic society, we work and we should get what we deserve.

I hope that this will be implemented for the greater welfare of our Club and the school.
