Digital Animation Film Contest 2012 organised by the CCS and NYP

The Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS) is kicking off its inaugural Digital Animation Film Contest in Singapore. Organised in collaboration with Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Interactive and Digital Media , the official education partner, this contest aims to raise awareness of competition law in Singapore and generate greater understanding of CCS’ work.

Contestants are challenged to come out with creative stories to tell about the practices and issues related to competition law through digital animation films. The contest opens NOW and closes on 23 March 2012. Contestants can stand a chance to win exciting cash prizes of up to $10,000 and also get an opportunity to showcase their work at various platforms both local ad international, and play a part in advocating the benefits of competition to the public.

There will be a briefing at NYP’s School of Interactive and Digital Media, Block M, LT M-1 (level 3) on Wednesday, 11 Jan 2012 at 1 pm for a briefing by experts from the CCS.

Prizes:
  • Best Short Film: the winner receives from CCS, a SGD 10,000 cash prize and a Certificate of Participation
  • First runner up: the winner receives a SGD 5,000 cash prize and a Certificate of Participation
  • Second runner up: the winner receives a SGD 3,000 cash prize and a Certificate of Participation
  • Three merit awards: each of the winners receives a SGD 1,000 cash prize and a Certificate of Participation
