Rules
Report for all club sessions punctually by 3pm.
Phones are to be kept in your bag.
Listen to the instructor at all times. If there is none, you are only allowed to do things related to our club such as learning about media or coding.
Remember to do your cleaning duties. If you cannot remember when it is, you can always check it on the club blog.
If you are unable to attend CCA, inform the teachers & EXCO about it together with an OFFICIAL REASON** via the group chat (Infocomm Sec 1/2/3s 2022) at least 1 day in advance, before CCA if you are on MC
2) For Duties
No usage of phones at all times unless needed for duty e.g. communicating with club members. This applies even if there is nothing much going on.
No usage of earpieces to watch Youtube or listen to music etc.
No usage of photos taken for any personal uses, e.g. sending to friends or posting on social media. If you save these photos, they should only be used for OSOS or Infocomm-related purposes. This applies to photos from the school gallery
Report for all duties on time. If you are going to be late or you are unable to attend, inform both Heads of Management AND your Duty ICs (indicated in the club blog) about it together with an OFFICIAL REASON**. This should be done before the reporting time.
As a Duty IC, you are to
Ensure that everyone is on task and guide anyone who needs help
Inform the EXCO about any misconduct during duty
Inform both Heads of Management and teachers if anyone does not show up or is late to duty for more than 5 minutes
Clarify any doubts about the instructions with teachers
Only OFFICIAL REASONS** are accepted for skipping CCA or duty. It must include an MC or a parent/teacher letter. It must also be valid enough for you to be excused from school, e.g. a piano exam or urgent family matter.
UNOFFICIAL REASONS are things you can change but choose not to, such as haircuts, tuition, outings with friends, etc.
3) For Communication
Always address your teachers then seniors and introduce yourself first
Acknowledge teachers and seniors whenever possible within the day
Do not text teachers past 8pm unless it is an urgent matter
Use the official group chat with EXCOs & teachers for any queries
Use a polite & formal tone even in the group chat without the teachers
There is no need to reply messages in the Infocomm 2022 chat unless told to
E.g. Good afternoon teachers and seniors, I am (Name) from (Class). May I ask (Question). Thank you!
4) For Competitions
Keep track of the deadlines and submit all your work on time.
Put in your best effort and seek help and clarifications early.
